In the off chance you dont know who I am, I’m Joe I am 20 and from East London, I study at the University of Sussex doing Politics and American Studies. I am currently doing my 3rd year at the University of Tulane which is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. So please subscribe if you’d like to hear about what I get up to mixed in with poor spelling and grammar the odd music recommendation and Po’boy review.
Why the name?
A Po'boy is a type of sandwich that originates from the city of New Orleans in the United States. Stuffed with various fillings, such as fried seafood (like shrimp or oysters), roast beef, ham, or even fried chicken.
The term Po' boy is a colloquial expression for "poor boy," reflecting the humble origins of the sandwich. Over time, the Po' boy gained popularity beyond the striking workers and became a beloved staple of New Orleans cuisine. It's not just a sandwich; it's a cultural icon that embodies the flavours and spirit of the city.
